Shoal Bay Interior Renovation!

This Shoal Bay renovation was all about bringing new life, warmth, and functionality to a much-loved coastal home, and delivering it on a tight timeline. The client's goal was to be in by Christmas 2024, and our goal was to ensure our lovely clients could enjoy their refreshed space with family and friends in time for the holidays.

Working closely with Nel Constructions, the YHD Interiors team delivered a seamless design journey, taking our clients from concept through to completion. They engaged us for a Concept Plan, Interior Selections Schedule, Detailed Plans & 3Ds, and Furniture Selections, allowing us to craft a cohesive and personalised design that balanced aesthetics with practicality.

The process for this renovation project!

Concept Plan

Our process began with a personalised design consultation, where we took the time to understand our clients’ vision and project goals, analyse their site, and review their existing plans. From there, we developed a tailored concept floor plan that provided clear design direction, ensuring every space flowed effortlessly while reflecting their lifestyle. This stage established a strong foundation for discussions with Nel Constructions and provided clarity for construction estimates.

Interior Selections Schedule

Next came one of our favourite stages, material and finish selections. This package simplifies what can often feel like an overwhelming process. Together, we explored cabinetry finishes, tiles, tapware, lighting, and paint colours to create a cohesive, timeless palette.

Our clients received a physical sample box, detailed digital documentation, and hands-on support throughout supplier appointments, making decision-making simple, confident, and enjoyable.

Detailed Plans & 3Ds

We then integrated every selection into comprehensive floor plans and elevations, bringing the vision to life through realistic 3D perspectives. This ensured absolute clarity for both our clients and the Nel Constructions team, providing construction-ready documentation that specified every fixture, layout, and detail needed for flawless execution on site.

Furniture Selection

To complete the transformation, we curated a full furniture layout and styling package. Every piece was carefully considered to complement the home’s new finishes, optimise flow, and create a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxed coastal living.
